In other business during the June 29, 2009 Board of Selectmen meeting, the board will hear the Resort Advisory Committee’s recommendations for using the casino planning money. A $250,000 payment is due on July 1, 2009 and Planning Director Ruth M. Geoffroy, lead planner on the project, has proposed using the money for several projects in 2009:

• $142,884 in salaries, which include her assistant and Anna M. Nalevanko, director of the Office of Economic and Community Development
• $25,000 for a strategic plan for Everett Square
• $15,000 for a feasibility plan to reuse the vacant hospital in the downtown for a medical facility
• $6,000 for a housing program.
