Sometimes it’s literally true that when one door closes, another opens.

Greg Lessard is a local photographer who sells his work from a web site but also displayed some of his wares in the Middleborough Art Gallery downtown. After the art gallery closed last year, it was back to the web site for Greg’s photos – until his wife was reading an email newsletter from Hollyberries, the country gift shop almost across Center Street from the former art gallery.

Hollyberries owner Cindy Crosby was issuing an invitation for local crafters to place items on consignment in her shop, which features many handmade crafts and pieces of country-style furniture in addition to seasonal decorations, candles and gifts. It sounded like a match made in heaven for Greg Lessard’s photography, which tends toward rural landscapes and in recent time has focused on Middleboro’s countryside.
