“It said, ‘Yes, we are married to the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian tribe,’ ” Flanagan said of Arkana Ltd. The affiliate of Malaysian-based Kien Huat Realty and prime investor of Foxwoods Resort Casino said it would financially back a destination resort casino in the city.

If built, the complex at the site of the proposed SouthCoast BioPark would include a hotel, gaming facility, restaurants, shops, a spa, entertainment facility and a golf course, Flanagan said.
