The town’s state representatives had little good news for selectmen when they met with them this week, telling the board to expect cuts in state aid for the fiscal year that begins July 1.  State Rep. Thomas J. Calter, Rep. Stephen R. Canessa and Rep. William M. Straus met with selectmen for more than an hour.  Though the state has not finalized its budget for next year, Canessa said to expect local aid to cities and towns to be cut 2.49 percent, lottery aid 4 percent and stimulus money 4 percent.
