The selectmen, still miffed that the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe has backed out of a casino deal in town, want the tribe to continue honoring one of the provisions of the pact – namely, a $250,000 annual payment to the town. The board this week dashed off a letter to the Department of the Interior to report that the Mashpee have not yet sent this year’s quarter-million-dollar payment, part of the tribe’s 2007 contract with Middleboro.
