Middleboro has five of the most dangerous intersections in the region, according to a report issued by the Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District.The report, compiled using crash data from the state Department of Transportation from 2006 to 2008, lists the following Middleboro intersections as especially hazardous:

• Routes 44 and 105, ranked seventh, with 75 crashes
• Routes 28 and 105, ranked 26th, with 55 crashes
• Route 44 and Plymouth Street, ranked 38th, with 34 crashes
• Route 44 and Old Center Street, ranked 46th with 31 crashes
• Route 44 and Everett Street, ranked 78th, with 22 crashes.
