A nine-member group of residents appointed to find new and efficient ways for the town to use technology is set to have its first meeting in early November. The Middleboro IT Assessment Task Force is set to meet at 7 p.m. November 3, 2010 in Town Hall. The group was established in July at the direction of the selectmen. They were reacting to a report from consultants who found that the town had a mid-1980s technology mindset that caused “gross inefficiencies.”
Members of the IT Assessment Task Force include selectman Alfred Rullo, school committee member Michael A. Pilla, Jr., Superintendent of Schools Michael F. Malone, School Technology Network Manager Mark Mobley, Town Manager Charles J. Cristello; Brunelle, the IT director; and citizen representatives Bradford S. Leonard, John Neely and Richard Allen Roth.
