Just as the holiday music starts to play before Thanksgiving, Middleboro Gas & Electric customers are getting a break from their electric and natural gas expenses before the holiday arrives. At their recent meeting, department commissioners voted unanimously to grant an additional ten percent discount for all electric and natural gas residential customers in Middleboro and Lakeville.

This holiday tradition discounts the customer and energy charges — exclusive of the purchase power and purchase gas charges — for usage billed in December.

“It is the department’s way of sharing their successful operation directly with their customers and helping enthusiastic residents lighten up their holiday celebration costs,” said communications director Sandra Richter.
