The Henry B. Burkland School and Middleboro High School each received $750 grants from the ExxonMobil Education Alliance program to support the schools’ local programs. The two local New England Farms stores within Middleboro coordinated the grants.
The ExxonMobil Educational Alliance program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools. New England Farms met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded the grant, including having a commitment to providing superior customer service.
Theresa Craig, assistant superintendent for Middleboro Public Schools, states the grant money will be used to fund the purchase of calculators to support the math program at the Burkland School and graphing calculators for probes in the science labs at Middleboro High School.
