With the delivery of 100 gallons of oil to the widow of a veteran who was having trouble making ends meet, Middleboro Veterans Outreach Center began its annual effort to ensure veterans and their families had that most basic of necessities – the ability to keep the house warm.

The oil delivery was made through “Keep Our Veterans Warm,” a service open to all veterans, said Joseph Thomas, the center’s executive director. “Any veteran who needs help, from any town, should call the Outreach Center.”

The center teamed up with Coletti Bros. Oil of Middleboro to provide fuel assistance to veterans. The center’s telephone number is 508-947-9109.
