The Middleboro Republican Town Committee will award a $5,000 federal savings bond to the winner of its first-ever essay contest. The contest is open to all secondary-school students who live in Middleboro. The theme is “Why I Will Vote in Every Election.” Essays must contain at least 300 words but no more than 400. They are due January 30, 2011.
The top four finalists will present their essays and the winner will be announced at the Middleboro Republican Town Committee’s Presidents Day luncheon on February 20, 2011.
