ABC Media Productions plans to shoot on location in Middleboro for a reality documentary pilot show entitled “Ghost Town.” The Board of Selectmen this week granted permission to the company to film in town from March 29, 2011 to April 1, 2011.

“The show is a reality documentary style show focusing on the life and work of Maureen Hancock, a medium in your area,” according to a March 8, 2011 e-mail to selectmen from Ian Sander, an executive producer of the pilot.

The crew plans to film at the Burt Wood school as well as various locations in Middleboro and some exteriors of the town. The crew will have fewer than 10 people and will employ several local residents. “If the show becomes a series (which we are hopeful and confident of), we would return later in the year to both provide additional employment and shoot for a longer period,” Sander wrote.

Kim Moses and Sander are the executive producers of “Ghost Whisperer,” “Profiler” and “I’ll Fly Away.” Further information is available on their company’s website, www.sandermoses.com.
