Middleboro is just one of more than a dozen towns in southeastern Massachusetts conducting drug take-back days on Saturday, October 29, 2011. There will be more than 200 sites statewide this Saturday taking back unused and unneeded prescriptions for safe disposal. They should not be flushed down a toilet. Prescription drug residue has been detected in some wells and drinking water supplies.

The drug take-back efforts Saturday will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Your unused prescription drugs can be returned to the Middleboro Police Station, located at 99 North Main Street.
