In September 2011, Trucchi’s and Taunton Federal Credit Union (TFCU) announced an agreement to move in together in Middleboro, in the old Stop & Shop location. Located at 422 West Grove Street, the plaza includes a mixture of businesses such as CVS, Papa Gino’s and Verizon.

For the Taunton credit union it’s a particularly noteworthy step. The Middleboro office — although it will only take up 500 square feet inside the supermarket — will be TFCU’s first actual branch office in its 64-year history. Between four and five people will work in Middleboro. John Damaso, president and CEO of Taunton Federal Credit Union says the Trucchi’s venture makes sense since it will better serve TFCU’s Middleboro and Lakeville customers, which he said number between 800 and 1,000 out of a total of 12,000 members.
