Middleboro’s Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to authorize the town manager to sign “No Trespass” orders for Kramer Park, the Town Hall on 10 Nickerson Ave., and the Town Hall annex in the Eastern Bank Building, 20 Centre Street. Town Manager Charles J. Cristello, who asked for the authority, said he does not plan to post “No Trespass” signs at the three locations, but police would be able to arrest people who loiter in those areas. Police Chief Bruce Gates said a similar order has been issued for Peirce Playground, and it has worked out well especially during the summer carnival.

The town plans to install surveillance cameras in Kramer Park and the skateboard park, located close to downtown, behind the police and fire stations and adjacent to Peirce Playground.
