Middleboro’s Board of Selectmen this week approved a Class I automobile dealer’s license for the dealership to be located at 3 Chalet Drive, off Route 44.

Michael A. Grieco Sr., president and chief financial officer for Metro Motor Group, which was issued the license, said the VW dealership is currently located at Metro Ford Mazda and Kia on Route 44 in Raynham. It will be moving to its own site on Chalet Drive.

Grieco said Metro Motor Group owns 12 stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida. He plans to open the VW dealership in Middleboro in early January.
