Dining Train Rolls Into Falmouth…

Hundreds of people took a ride on Cape Rail Inc.’s newly refurbished Falmouth line, which hasn’t been open for more than a decade. About 225 people rode in passenger and dining cars, and they were able to board the train at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s Middleboro/Lakeville station, said John Kennedy, CEO of Cape Rail. Kennedy hopes this initial excursion is a step forward for his Mass Coastal proposal, which would create commuter rail service from Buzzards Bay to Middleboro starting next spring.
